Essetly is built around sensitive family information, so the product focuses on account access, permission-based sharing and keeping users in control of suggested updates.
Encryption
Essetly uses secure encryption to help protect your information both during transfer and while it is stored.
Account access
Users sign in through authenticated accounts. Access to private information is tied to the account owner and permission settings.
Permission-based sharing
You choose what to share and who can access it. Beneficiaries, family members or advisors do not automatically receive access to everything. Access can be removed by the account owner.
Review before saving
Essetly can identify useful information and suggest updates. You decide what gets saved as part of your records, while some document metadata may be captured to help organise uploaded files.
Email permissions
Email import is optional. If you connect it, Essetly uses the permissions you grant to find relevant documents based on your choices. You can disconnect email access in Essetly where available, and you may also need to remove Essetly access in your email provider account settings.
Support
For support questions, avoid sending sensitive content unless it is needed to handle the request. Essetly support should only ask for information that is relevant to the issue.
